Meet Our Staff
Kelli Allen, Attorney
Kelli, a lifelong native of North Carolina, earned a J.D., summa cum laude,
from Charlotte School of Law and a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from
the University of North Carolina Charlotte. She is a member of the North
Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Mecklenburg County
Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), ElderCounsel,
and the American Immigration Lawyer's Association. Kelli was previously
the founder and director of a non-profit animal rescue which found new
adoptive homes for over 1200 abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs.
Kelli's philosophy is that each client should be treated with dignity
and respect, and endeavors to provide personalized service. Kelli understands
that while there are many common issues, each case is different and must
be fully examined to determine the best course of action. She seeks to
educate each individual and will explain the pertinent law, options, and
procedures, enabling each client to make an informed decision about his
or her case.
Allison Feliciano – Paralegal/Office Administrator
Allison Feliciano was born and raised in Long Island, New York. As a paralegal,
she works closely with clients and is also responsible for the overall
office operation. Allison is sensitive to the needs of our clientele and
consistently endeavors to provide the personalized attention each person
deserves. She enjoys her support role in the office as it allows her to
work on behalf of those who are seeking assistance with challenging legal issues.
In her spare time, Allison enjoys attending her son’s sporting events,
spending time with her friends and family, and travelling when time allows.
Mari Morales – Geriatric Care Coordinator
Mari is a native Texan who has lived in the Carolinas for the past 20 years.
Throughout her life Mari has been of service to the community and finds
fulfillment in volunteering and supporting worthy causes. She works to
ensure that all of our clients are treated with professionalism and receive
excellent customer service.
In her spare time, Mari enjoys time with her family traveling and educating
children in the art of dance.
Denise Coleman - Legal Assistant/Medicaid Coordinator
Denise Coleman was born in Herndon, Virginia
Denise relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1997 through the years here in Charlotte,
she has worked in the detailed and rewarding field of Physician Credentialing
as well as assisting in some patient care.
Denise enjoys singing in the choir at church and knitting, but most of
all enjoys the time with her family, especially her grandchildren & friends.
Denise is primarily responsible for preparing extreme hardship waivers,
and preparing and submitting Medicaid applications. This gives her the
opportunity to meet and help people, which is a passion of hers.
Matthew Pasco - Administrative Assistant
Matthew is an Administrative Assistant at Kelli Y Allen Immigration and
Elder Law. Matthew was born on Long Island, New York. He moved to Mooresville,
North Carolina for baseball and school. He played baseball at Catawba
Valley in Hickory for 2 years before transferring to UNC Charlotte to
continue his educational career. Matthew graduated in 2016 with a major
in Criminal Justice and a minor in English. During that time, he gained
law firm experience by interning with Phillips & McCrea, PLLC. He
assisted with family, criminal, and immigration law. He takes pride in
helping others, attending to their needs, and making sure all parties
leave happy and accomplish their stated goals.
Matthew is very dedicated to this profession. While he knows that the immigration
and elder law cases are often difficult for families, his goal is to ease
the process to the best of his ability.
Alex Torres - Office Receptionist
Alex was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and moved to Charlotte, NC at
the age of three. She is currently enrolled at Central Piedmont Community
College for an Associates in Science; however, she has always had an interest
in criminal justice. She loves interacting with people, helping others,
and working as a team to ensure the well-being of others. As receptionist,
her main priority is to provide exceptional first and last impressions
to our clients.
In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and spending
time with family and friends.
